導演 #管虎 時隔十五年再回歸動物題材創作，面對的是拍攝上百隻流浪狗。在亞洲電影史上，這樣大型的動物規模拍攝是絕無僅有的，給主創團隊帶來了前所未有的挑戰。
監製梁靜說：「之前管虎的電影中有很多種動物出現，但這次數量特別多。在片場的上百條狗狗幾乎快跟現場工作人員的數量差不多了，在照顧它們的問題上我們花費了很多心思，為它們搭建了三畝地的狗舍，請來了 20 多位專業的訓犬師。」

In 2008, Erlang, just released from prison, returned to his hometown - a small northwestern town with stray dogs everywhere. Erlang joined the dog-catching team to make a living. In a transportation accident, Erlang saved a stray black dog and kept it. In the process of getting along with the black dog, a deep affection was formed between the man and the dog, and a new life was started in mutual redemption.
The film was selected for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival for its global premiere and won the Grand Prize in the Un Certain Regard section and the Golden Palm Dog Jury Award.
