子信（游學修飾）自小以身為聾人自豪，活在無聲世界怡然自得；他的莫逆之交 Alan（吳祉昊飾）則選擇植入人工耳蝸和學習口語，在健聽社會中看似游刃有餘。兩人遇上積極融入社會的素恩（鍾雪瑩飾），同為聽障人士，卻各有生存之道，手語成為他們相識相知的溝通橋樑。面對社會上的偽善和不合理的制度，三位赤子置身於聾人群體的暗湧之中，能否跨越聲音的隔膜，活出真我？

Told through the lens of three deaf adults in their twenties, The Way We Talk follows Sophie (Chung Suet Ying), who is optimistic and strives to be seen as ‘normal’; Wolf (Neo Yau), who embraces his deafness; and Alan (Marco Ng), who seems more at ease as a member of mainstream society. Despite their differing perspectives, the three friends develop a deep bond through sign language, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs. Living on the fringes of a hypocritical and often hostile society, can the three friends be their true selves, overcome the sound barrier, and use sign language to express their feelings?
